Racheal Matthew’s love affair with fashion began at a very early age.  At  5,  Racheal was already flatly refusing to leave the house unless she was sporting her most fashionable favorite green dress – regardless of the season or what else she had on that day.

By her twenties, her wardrobe had expanded beyond that single green dress … enough to allow her to leave home for an entire year.  She traveled the world and even let other people dress her during her stint as a fashion model in the Czeck Republic.

In 2001, Racheal returned home to San Francisco and began to focus on her fashion career behind the camera by enrolling in a flat pattern design program at Apparel Arts.  During this time, her newfound skills and love for clothing led her to the studio of San Francisco designer, Cari Borja Clothesmaker, where she put her passion to work designing clothes and learning how to run a business. Now she is branching out on her own  and spreading her unique vision and passion for fashion with Sala, a new clothing boutique located in her hometown of Berkeley, California. Racheal’s vision is to create an inviting place where community can mingle and find pieces that delight and inspire them… and you might even find Rachel there wearing a very cute green dress.
